How to Connect to a GE MIF Relay

Cable: 9-pin to 9-pin RS-232 Straight Through
Software: GE_NESIS M+PC –

Software Default Settings

Connection:
Baud Rate: Direct Connection
Port: 1 (Varies by computer)
Parity: No Parity
Data Bits: 8
Stop Bits: 1
Passwords & Connection Info
Software Username: “” (Blank)
Password: 7169
Slave Address: 1
Unit Password: 1

I’ve seen printouts of the setting but have been unable to figure out how.  If anyone knows how, please post detailed instructions.

  1. Hi Friends;
    I am using a GE Relay MIF II ,I got a sudden problem on this relay,the relay did not allow the ready signal,and ot is showing trip signal,i can not also communicate with the relay.also we can not access it s menu and we can not reset it.can you please help me?

    1. Thanks for reaching out. That relay wasn’t very reliable when it was new, so I am not surprised you are having problems with it.

      You need to replace the relay.

      Sorry I didn’t have better news.
